Betting on the Cleveland Browns (-3)
Regular Season Record: 2-1
The Browns are doing just fine even with Deshaun Watson suspended. That’s primarily because Amari Cooper has been terrific in their passing attack. Cooper had 101 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches in the win over the Steelers. Meanwhile, David Njoku had his breakout game this season in that contest, going 9/10 for 89 receiving yards and a touchdown. With the Browns getting more comfortable on offense under temporary QB1 Jacoby Brissett, things could be getting better for Cleveland going forward.
The Browns are 12-4 against the spread in their last 16 games in Week 4.
Betting on the Atlanta Falcons (+3)
Regular Season Record: 1-2
The Falcons finally hooked a victory, thanks to their explosive rushing attack in the Seattle game. Cordarrelle Patterson rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries, while Marcus Mariota also had a rushing score. Mariota passed for 229 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 13/20 completions, There are plenty of young guys on Atlanta’s roster but many of them are capable of torching opponents especially once they start to mature. Kyle Pitts and Drake London led the downfield for the Falcons with 87 and 54 receiving yards, respectively, with London also coming away with TD. Finally with momentum, look for the Falcons to play with so much more confidence than in previous games this season. The Falcons are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five contests.
Writer’s Prediction
The Browns win, 29-24.
