Let’s be honest. The only people that care about this matchup between the 4-9 Broncos and the 3-10 Colts at this point in the season, are bettors. That’s why you’re here.
These two teams have met five times in the past five years, counting one in the playoffs. Those were different days, with all but one of those games featuring Peyton Manning vs Luck. Last season, the Broncos beat the visiting Colts by a total of 34-20, however Denver is just 1-9 against the spread in the past 10 meetings.
One the road this season, the Broncos are both 0-6 straight up and against the spread, while the Colts are 2-4 straight up and 4-2 ATS when playing on home turf at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Betting on the Denver Broncos (4-9)
The Denver Broncos ended an eight-game losing streak (their longest since they’ve been in the league) with a 23-0 victory over the visiting Jets on Sunday in Week 14, giving them their first shutout since 2005 along with a decent pay day for those who bet accordingly. Solid Denver defense held the Jets to just 41 passing yards and 100 yards overall. QB Trevor Siemian threw for 200 yards and a TD to wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, giving Thomas’ his 56th career touchdown pass which now moves him to second all-time for the franchise (look for NFL Week 15 player props to address this). Linebacker Von Miller delivered his 10th sack of the season, becoming the first Denver Broncos player to ring in six 10-sack seasons. Dismal season record aside, it was a good week for the Broncos. Will they extend the momentum into Week 15?
Betting on the Indianapolis Colts (3-10)
The Colts didn’t have the same Week 14 success that the Broncos did. Indianapolis brought their losing streak to four straight on Sunday, with a 13-7 overtime loss at Buffalo in some pretty hazardous weather. At least the blizzard made for an interesting affair, for those watching from the comforts of home, that is.
Indianapolis did not attempt a pass in the first quarter, making them the first to do so (or should we say not do so) this season. However, things looked good (a relative statement) for the Colts for a moment, as they sent the game into OT on a 3-yard touchdown pass from Jacoby Brissett to Jack Doyle with 1:16 left in regulation. But from there, all that mattered was the Bills running back LeSean McCoy who would score the winning touchdown with 1:33 left in the extra minutes, concluding a game that was only news worthy on the local weather report.
Writer’s Prediction
The Broncos have a better season record and are coming off of a much better Week 14 performance, and will take the momentum into a Week 15 win against the Colts. Favored by just -2, they will cover too.
