The Denver Nuggets are on the cusp of sweeping the Oklahoma City Thunder this season, and they could accomplish that feat this Friday night at home. Also, a win in that game will strengthen their challenge to the Golden State Warriors for Western Conference standings supremacy.

Betting on the Denver Nuggets (50-23)
The Nuggets will love to get a win this Friday before trekking back home for a weekend matchup in Mile High City against the Washington Wizards. Based on their past performances this season opposite Oklahoma City, the Nuggets seem to be in a very good form as the road team in these two squads’ last regular season meeting of the 2018-19 NBA campaign. In fact, Denver is 3-0 SU and 3-0 ATS in its last three games against Oklahoma City. Dating back to 2017, the Nuggets are 7-1 SU and 8-0 ATS in their last four dates with the Thunder. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray have been the biggest thorns in the side of Oklahoma City when it plays the Nuggets this season. Jokic has averaged 25.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in three meeting with Oklahoma City this campaign, while Murray has put up 20.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over the same span. Denver’s defense has been superb, ranking sixth in the NBA with just 106.8 points allowed per game.
The Nuggets are 4-0 against the spread (ATS) in their last four games in Oklahoma City.
Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder (44-31)
It’s hasn’t been a good stretch for Russell Westbrook and company of late. Although the Thunder won the last time they were on the floor, defeating the Indiana Pacers at home on Wednesday, 107-99, they have gone just 2-5 SU in their last seven games. That’s not something they can brag about heading into a marquee matchup with a title contender such as Denver. The Thunder’s offense has been a letdown in OKC’s past several games. Oklahoma City isn’t an efficient shooting team to begin with, and yet it’s been worse for the Thunder in their last five games, wherein they shot just 42.9 percent from the field. Westbrook, in particular, has been salty from the field, shooting just 40.5 percent in the last five games. Westbrook got a triple-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists against the Pacers but made just six of his 15 field goal attempts. Among the keys to the Thunder’s success against Denver is Westbrook’s efficiency with his shot, as he’s registered a poor 36.5 percent shooting in the past three dates with the Nuggets this season. Paul George, meanwhile, has averaged 27.0 points on 39.1 percent shooting this season against Denver.
Oklahoma City is 24-19 ATS this season in games after a win.
Writer’s Prediction
Denver wins, 112-107.
