Chisora is 37 years old but he believes he still has a shot at winning a title in the heavyweight division. The British fighter is looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss last year to Oleksandr Usyk at Wembley Arena, which stopped his three-fight win streak. During that stretch, Chisora scored a TKO over David Price, knocked out Artur Szpilka, and earned a unanimous decision victory over Senad Gashi. Chisora has been around the sport for 14 years and has figured in a lof exciting fights, but one knock on him is that he always falls short whenever he faces the top fighters, as evidenced by his losses to the likes of Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte, Vitali Klitschko, Kubrat Pulev, and Oleksandr Usyk. But you can forget about those losses for now because Chisora has made a significant change in his corner as he’s now being trained by the legendary Buddy McGirt. If anything, that could be the move that changes the direction of Chisora’s career for the better.
Betting on Joseph Parker (-180)
Total fights: 30
Wins: 28
Wins by KO: 21
Losses: 2
Draws: 0
Like Chisora, Parker has already employed a new trainer in the form of Andy Lee. It could be remembered that Lee was a key figure in the success of Tyson Fury, whom he helped design a game plan to defeat Deontay Wilder in February of last year. From the looks of it, the change of trainer is a big positive for Parker, who will be looking to extend his win streak to five fights when he enters the ring this coming Saturday. In his most recent fight, Parker scored a unanimous decision win over Junior Fa. Prior to that, he had two TKO wins over Shawndell Terell Winters and Alex Leapai and a KO victory over Alexander Flores. Parker is battle-tested, as he’s fought the likes of Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua in title fights before. He also won the vacant WBO heavyweight title in 2016 by beating Andy Ruiz. Parker stands 6’4″, two inches taller than Chisora. He also has a two-inch reach advantage over his opponent on Saturday.
Writer’s Prediction
Joseph Parker wins via unanimous decision.
