Betting on the Gonzaga Bulldogs (13-3)

The Bulldogs took a big bite out of the Pepperdine Waves, who couldn’t ride their way out of a 30-point deficit, ending the night with 89-59 win for Gonzaga. Killian Tillie put up a great effort, scoring a game-high 22 points and pulling down eight rebounds for his No. 19 ranked team, while hitting all three of his 3-point attempts. With the guards struggling a little bit at the start of the game, the forwards stepped up to score 67 of the team’s total. Heck, it ended up being an all-around team effort, with other Gonzaga players ending up double figures, including Johnathan Williams (13-points), Rui Hachimura (12-points), and Zach Norvell Jr. (10-points), while Corey Kispert and Jacob Larsen almost joined the club with nine points each, coming off of the bench.

The word “exceptional” was heard from the lips of Gonzaga head coach Mark Few in the postgame interview, and he is absolutely right in saying so.

Gonzaga will complete its southern California vacation this Saturday night with a visit to Loyola Marymount where they are a commanding favorite at our NCAA basketball sportsbook.

Betting on the Loyola Marymount Lions (5-9)

Loyola Marymount lost big time by a total of 65-49 in a West Coast Conference contest Thursday night against Santa Clara. LMU brought the game into single-digit just briefly, but could not hold on with a dismal defensive effort. On the offensive end Steven Haney scored 17 points and Eli Scott added 14 for Loyola Marymount, with no other players in double-digits. LMU will need to start thinking about recruitment as they all but write this season off.

Writer’s Prediction

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are proving to be very deep, from floor to bench, while LMU…is simply LMU. This one is a really a no-brainer for those betting straight up and against the spread. Writer’s Pick: Gonzaga to win and cover with authority.
