The No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers (+8,000 to win the national title) want to get out of a rut, having gone winless last week. They will look to get back into a win column with a weekend date with Carsen Edwards and the Purdue Boilermakers (+5,000 to win the national title). Will Indiana end their losing skid at the expense of the Boilermakers? Or will Purdue extend their winning streak to three games?

Betting on the Indiana Hoosiers (12-5 Overall / 3-3 Conference)
The Hoosiers are suddenly on a slump. Following a three-game win streak to kick off Big Ten play, Indiana lost all of their next three games. In their most recent outing, the Hoosiers absorbed a 66-51 upset loss at home at the hands of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Indiana dropped that game despite a solid outing from freshman star Romeo Langford, who had 18 points and six rebounds with three steals. He’s been an offensive force this season, especially of late, having averaged 21.2 points in his last five games. On the season, he is putting up 18.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest. Outside of Juwan Morgan, though, Langford isn’t getting much help on offense. The Hoosiers need to get more from other secondary options like Devonte Green and Justin Smith, who are putting up 8.5 and 8.3 points per game, respectively.
On the road so far this season, the Hoosiers are both 2-3 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS).
Betting on the Purdue Boilermakers (11-6 Overall / 4-2 Conference)
Purdue is starting to build momentum again. After getting tripped up by No. 6 Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing on Jan. 8, Purdue rebounded and won back-to-back against the Wisconsin Badgers on the road (84-80 OT) and over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (89-54) at home. Purdue was scorching from the floor in the Rutgers game, torching its opponent with a 50 percent shooting from the field, while knocking down 14 treys. The Boilermakers are deadly from the outside, which should cause the Hoosiers’ interior defense to open up. Purdue is sixth in the nation with 10.7 3-pointers made per contest on 37.4 success rate – good for 53rd in Division I basketball. Guard Carsen Edwards, who scored 16 points against Rutgers and 36 against Wisconsin, paces Purdue with 24.9 points per game.
On the 2018-19 year at home so far, Purdue is 5-3 against the spread (ATS), going 3-1 ATS in their last four games at Mackey Arena.
Writer’s Prediction
Purdue wins, 77-73.
