Betting on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (odds)

Record: 13-10 Overall/5-7 Conference

Rutgers is still undefeated in February. The Scarlet Knights are 2-0 straight up so far in the month after beating the Michigan State Spartans last Saturday, 61-55. They also blasted the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Feb. 1 at home, 90-55. The Scarlet Knights’ defense has simply been scary this season. They entered the Spartans game with just 58.5 points allowed per game and with an opponents’ effective field goal rate of 43.9 percent. Indiana knows all about that Scarlet Knights’ defense, having lost to Rutgers back in December, 63-58.

Rutgers is 3-1 against the spread in its last four games overall.

Betting on the Indiana Hoosiers (odds)

Record: 16-7 Overall/7-5 Conference

In Trayce Jackson-Davis the Hoosers trust. The Indiana big man came away with yet another sparking performance over the weekend, as he led the Hoosiers to an upset 68-66 home win over No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers. Jackson-Davis powered the Hoosiers with 25 points and seven rebounds to go with five blocks in 39 minutes. He has been coming up with incredible numbers of late, but there’s also Jalen Hood-Schifino, who did not play in the first meeting with Rutgers due to a back issue. Well, he is ready now for the Scarlet Knights after posting 16 points in the win over Purdue.

Indiana is 4-0 against the spread in its last four games overall.

Writer’s Prediction

Indiana wins, 67-64.
