It’s difficult not to feel sorry for the Ole Miss Rebels, who have skidded of late in an incredibly frustrating fashion. In fact, the Rebels have lost three of their last four contests by a slim margin of four points or fewer. They will look to pick themselves up this Tuesday against the Kentucky Wildcats, who are also looking to rebound following a forgettable weekend. Going into this Tuesday’s game, NCAA Futures price Kentucky with +800 odds to win the National Championship, while Ole Miss is listed at +15,000 to pull it off.

Betting on the Kentucky Wildcats (24-5 Overall / 13-3 Conference)
The Wildcats failed to double down on their victory over the Tennessee Wildcats last month, as John Calipari’s boys absorbed a 71-52 loss in Knoxville over the weekend. The ‘ Cats offense sputtered in the rematch with Tennessee, shooting just 31.8 percent from the field and going 5-for-19 from behind the arc. The usually dependable and lethal backcourt combo of Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro misfired on offense all game long, with the duo combining for only 13 points on a salty 4-for-20 shooting. Only PJ Washington finished the game with at least 10 points for the Wildcats, as the sophomore forward had 13 markers to his name. Kentucky could shake that bitter loss off as soon as Tuesday, when the Wildcats face a team that has seemingly become their regular victims. Kentucky is 9-0 SU and 6-3 ATS in its last nine meetings with Ole Miss.
Kentucky is also 2-2 against the spread (ATS) in games after a loss.
Betting on the Ole Miss Rebels (19-10 Overall / 9-7 Conference)
After a four-game unbeaten streak that spanned from late January to early February, the Rebels have noticeable nosedived. They have gone 1-3 SU over that span, which includes back-to-back losses to the Tennessee Volunteers (73-71) at home on Feb. 27 and to the Arkansas Razorbacks (74-73) on the road last Saturday. As seen from the scores, though, it seemed that Ole Miss could have turned those losses into wins if only some things went its way. In the Razorbacks game, the difference was in the turnovers department. Mississippi shot a high 53.7 percent from the field against Arkansas, but lost possessions of the ball 16 times, three more than the Razorbacks. The Rebels can’t afford to turn the ball over that many times against Kentucky, though, they are actually averaging fourth-fewest 13.0 turnovers per game in the SEC.
Ole Miss, which is putting up 76.2 points per game, is 21-8 ATS this season.
Writer’s Prediction
Kentucky wins, 72-67.
