Betting on the Los Angeles Clippers (47-32)

The Clippers are getting the defending champions in their last road game of the regular season. Doc Rivers’ team has shown grit all season long, and it has clearly worked for them. Despite not having a true superstar leading the way for them, the Clippers have managed to clinch a spot in the playoffs, but can they hang with the Warriors this weekend? Save for a 112-94 home loss to the Warriors last January, the Clippers have been competitive versus Golden State this season. They are 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS in three meeting with the Dubs so far in the 2018-19 NBA campaign, winning the first meeting of the season, 121-116 in Oracle Arena back in November. In that game, the Clippers were fueled by their bench that got 25 and 23 points from Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, respectively. Williams is averaging 25.0 points against the Warriors this season, while rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is putting up 15.0 per contest in that same matchup.

The Clippers are 6-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 road games.

Betting on the Golden State Warriors (54-24)

The Warriors want to solidify their hold of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. At the same time, they would like to regale their fans in Oakland one last time before the playoffs, as they host the Clippers in their final regular season game at ORACLE Arena. The Warriors are resting some of their key players, so don’t be surprised if the likes of DeMarcus Cousins, Shaun Livingston, and Andre Iguodala will not play again after all three sat out the home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. So long as any of the Warriors’ trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant plays, the team will always be a dangerous one to face – and that’s something the Clippers is very much wary of. In three head-t0-head matchups with the Clippers this season, Curry has averaged 35.0 points, Durant 30.7, and Thompson 18.3. As a team, the Warriors have averaged 119.0 points on 46.9 percent shooting from the field – better than their season average of 117.6 points per contest. The Warriors’ defense has also bothered Los Angeles, with the Clippers turning the ball over at least 15 times in each of the last three meetings with Golden State.

The Warriors are 9-1 straight up (SU) in their last 10 home games against the Clippers.

Writer’s Prediction

Golden State wins, 116-103.
