The Los Angeles Dodgers’ fate will rest upon the hands of Kenta Maeda (5-4, 2.70 ERA), who’s set to make just his second career start against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. During his first start against Arizona, the 28-year-old right-hander logged in six shutout innings, delivered four strikeouts and allowed just a single walk despite getting the no-decision.

Furthermore, the Japanese standout’s current form is an eyebrow-raiser. Maeda has only given up two runs in his last three starts. That stretch includes a shutout performance against the Mets on May 28. Los Angeles, which is priced at +190 to win the NL West crown this year, won that game convincingly, 9-1.

On offense, meanwhile, the Dodgers ought to look to the pairing of Corey Seager and Adrian Gonzalez to provide some much-need runs at the plate.

Seager is 5-of-17 in his last five outings and also leads the team in batting (.284), homers (15), RBIs (35) and hits (71) this season. Gonzalez, meanwhile, has gone 0-of-8 in the past two games, but boasts a solid triple-slash line of .300/.394/.531 versus the D-Backs throughout his career.

Los Angeles is 4-6 SU in its previous 10 road games.

Betting on the Arizona Diamondbacks (29-37)

As for the Arizona Diamondbacks, they’ll be putting their trust on Archie Bradley (2-2, 5.22 ERA) to lead them on the mound later this evening. He’s lost his past two starts, but holds a relatively respectable 3.86 ERA and has garnered 15 K’s during that brief stretch.

What’s more, the 23-year-old righty pitched magnificently during his only career start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 11 of last year. Bradley allowed just one hit and struck out six batters across six scoreless frames.

Of course though, Bradley’s going to need some support on offense to secure a win for the D-Backs, who are pegged at +2,800 to win the National League title. That said, you can expect the tandem of Jean Segura and Paul Goldschmidt to light up the plate.

Segura, who currently leads the team in batting (.299) and hits (78), enters this game riding a five-game hitting streak. He’s gone 8-of-20 with a pair of RBIs during that stretch.

Goldschmidt, on the other hand, is actually holding an even hotter bat. The 28-year-old first baseman is hitting .341 with four doubles, six runs batted in and one homers throughout this month of June.

Arizona is 4-6 SU in its last 10 games versus the Dodgers.
