The Pittsburgh Steelers (+6000 to win Super Bowl 54) are not going away. Despite the absence of Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers have been finding ways to win. The Los Angeles Rams (+2500) are lagging behind the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, and their best chance to get in the playoffs is via the wild card route. A loss to the Steelers will be a ounch to the gut of the Rams, so expect Sean McVay’s men to go all out.

Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (5-3)
One key piece of the Rams’ defense is set to return with linebacker Clay Matthews reportedly expected to play against the Steelers after missing multiple weeks due to a broken jaw. The veteran’s presence should be very much welcome by the Rams’ defense has steadied the ship following a tumultuous stretch in which it seemed to have lost its identity. Over the last two games, the Colts have allowed just a total of 20 points. In their last game, they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in London, 24-10, before returning to US soil and have a bye in Week 9. Wide receiver Brandin Cooks, however, is trending negatively, as he’s still in the concussion protocol. In the event that Cooks gets ruled out for the Pittsburgh game, Josh Reynolds will get another start. Reynolds had 73 receiving yards and a touchdown on three receptions against the Bengals. Cooper Kupp will draw much of the attention of the Steelers’ defense after posting 220 receiving yards and a touchdown in London, so Reynolds may have his time to shine once again.
The Rams are 7-3 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games.
Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4)
And what do you know, the Steelers are having quite a stretch themselves. Pittsburgh notched its third win in a row when they took down the Indianapolis Colts at home last Sunday to the tune of a 26-24 score. Quarterback Mason Rudolph didn’t put up the most amazing of performances, as he only threw for 195 passing yards and a touchdown against an interception on 26-of-35 completions, but there is hope for him to improve, especially if he develops a better chemistry with star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. The wideout was only targeted five times and caught only three receptions for 30 yards in the Colts game. Running back James Conner practiced on Wednesday after missing Week 9’s game because of a shoulder injury. Expect Trey Edmunds and Jaylen Samuels will share the load again in the backfield. Pittsburgh’s defense is contributing a lot to the recent success of the team. On the season, the Steelers’ pass rush has garnered a total of five sacks and a trio takeaways.
The Steelers are 2-1-1 ATS in their last four games at Heinz Field.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rams win, 29-20.
