The No. 6 Louisville Cardinals (+1200 to win the national title) are currently on top of the Atlantic Coast Conference standings, but their lead isn’t too big for them to feel any kind of complacency. As for the NC State Wolfpack (+12500), the team is in the middle of the pack in the ACC standings, with its eyes on getting a Quadrant 1 win to bolster their March Madness resume.

Betting on the Louisville Cardinals (17-3 Overall / 8-1 Conference)
It’s been quite a ride lately for the Cardinals, who are enjoying much success. They are on a six-game win streak, which they will look to extend in Wednesday’s matchup against the Boston College Eagles on the road. In their last game, the Cardinals took down the Clemson Tigers at home last Saturday in convincing fashion, eking out an 80-62 win and easily covering a double-digit spread of 10 points as home favorites. The Cardinals are buoyed up by a well-balanced offense and defense. They can beat teams in many ways, as they can score in bunches, cripple opposing defenses, and/or by getting hot from deep and hitting a bunch of threes. All those were on display in the win over Clemson, as the Cardinals shot 48.1 percent from the field, hit 10 3-pointers, and held the Tigers to only 34.4 percent shooting and out-rebounding them, 41-29.
Louisville, which is 18th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency per KenPom, is 2-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last three games.
Betting on the NC State Wolfpack (14-7 Overall / 5-5 Conference)
After stitching together three wins in a row with victories over the Miami Hurricanes, Clemson, and the Virginia Cavaliers, the Wolfpack have seemingly cooled off, suffering back-to-back losses to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on the road and to the North Carolina Tar Heels at home last Saturday and Monday, respectively. The Wolfpack also failed to cover the spread in either of those losses. The Wolfpack had a hard time finding their target from the field against North Carolina, as they went just 28 for 66 from the floor and shot 4 for 20 from behind the arc. But despite getting out-rebounded in that game, 42-31, the Wolfpack were able to get off nine more shots and commit just 10 turnovers to 13 by North Carolina. Those are good qualities of NC State basketball this season. The Wolfpack play fast and get plenty of shots and also take great care of the leather. NC State is 36th in the nation in shots per game and 26th in turnovers per contests.
The under is 9-1 in the Wolfpack’s last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Louisville wins, 76-70.
