The Hurricanes had three players scoring at least 20 points in the Louisville game, led by Nijel Pack, who paced the team with 22 points. Miami has one of the best offenses in the nation, entering the North Carolina game with an average of 78.4 points per outing.

The Tar Heels finally ended their three-game losing skid with a 91-71 victory in Chapel Hill over the Clemson Tigers Saturday. Caleb Love powered the Tar Heels with 23 points to go with five assists, while Armando Bacot double-doubled anew with 19 points and 11 rebounds. North Carolina flexed its muscle on the offensive glass with 11-5 advantage versus Clemson in terms of offensive rebounds. Take note that North Carolina is a top-10 team in the nation in that statistical department with nearly 10 offensive rebounds per game average.
