Under head coach Doc Holliday, Marshall is 4-0 both straight up and against the spread in their most recent four bowl appearances. On the flip side, coach Mike Bobo has given Colorado State an 0-2 SU and ATS record over two NCAA bowls. Both teams are third place in their respective conferences and will go head to head in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque. Register to bet and wager with your pick.

Betting on the Marshall Thundering Herd 4-4 (+5.5)
The Marshall Thundering Herd finished their season 3rd in the C-USA as they held the top spot for most of the season until the halfway point. They come into this game with a 7-5 record as they started off the year hot with a 6-1 record.
The Herd could not handle the pressure of being the top dog as they would fall hard the last weeks of the season. They would loss four of the last five games as turning the page really did not work. It will be interesting to see if they will be able to turn that page as quarterback Chase Litton needs to have a strong game.
With the offense averaging around 26 points per game and almost 400 yards of total offense, Litton can have a huge game against the weak Colorado Rams secondary. On the season Litton finished with 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Even if Litton does not have a strong game, hopefully the defense will be able to step up as they usually do thanks to their turnover margin. They have forced 15 turnovers this season and might be able to switch the momentum of the game with an early INT against Colorado.
Betting on the vs Colorado State Rams 5-3 (-5.5)
The Colorado Rams will look to bounce back after their bad stretch of recent games as they enter this game with a 7-5 record. They did finish with a good Mountain West divisional record with having a 5-3 win loss ratio, but they have lost three of their last four games.
The Colorado Rams have been great on the offensive side of the ball as they are averaging around 34 points per game which puts the Marshall Thundering Herd offense to shame. One of the reasons why the Rams have a powerful offense is thanks to the passing game of quarterback Nick Stevens.
Stevens could complete his season off with 30 touchdowns as he needs three more which would finish him off with 3:1 touchdown to interception ratio. With a great quarterback performance, the defense also leans on that momentum as the defense usually gives up about 26 points per game. If the defense can shut down the Thundering Herd offense fast, quarterback Stevens will be in perfect control of this game.
Writer’s Prediction
I think this game is going to be a tough battle down to the wire as the Thundering Herd have been well in the past Bowl games. Colorado has the better offense as it is going to be a low scoring game. Expect a low score heading into half but the Rams will be able to open up the playbook a bit more as turnovers will cost the Herd. Pick: Colorado State (-5.5)
