The Minnesota Vikings are frustrated with the quality of play they’ve put up of late, and it has caused them to slide all the way down to the last place in NFC North division. They get the New York Giants in Week 5 on the road. The Giants are riding a momentum following back-to-back victories.

Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (2-2)
Watching Kirk Cousins play for most of the season is making it hard to believe that the Vikings are actually paying him $84 million to play the most important position in football for them. In Week 4’s embarrassing 16-6 road loss to the Chicago Bears, Cousins passed for 233 yards on 27-of-56 completions. He didn’t have a touchdown and was sacked six times for a loss of 51 yards. He fumbled the ball twice and failed to recover one. Battling Chicago can do that to a quarterback, so Cousins is hopeful he can do a whole lot better in Week 5 against the Giants. After all, the Giants are just 24th in the NFL against the pass, allowing 279.5 passing yards per game. Cousins have at his disposal one of the best receiving tandems in the league in Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, but he’s yet to maximize the duo. The Giants game could be their breakout.
The under is 5-0 in the Vikings’ last five road games.
Betting on the New York Giants (2-2)
The Daniel Jones chapter continues for the Giants and it resulted in another success for the team. Last Sunday, the Giants defeated the Washington Redskins on the road in dominant fashion, 24-3. Jones passed for 225 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions on 23-of-31 completions. It’s not the sexiest of performances, but Jones is learning and becoming more comfortable in the pocket. Running back Wayne Gallman, taking over the primary running back duty while Saquon Barkley heals up from an ankle injury, had 63 rushing yards and a score. He added 55 receiving yards and a touchdown on six catches. Barkley is highly unlikely to play against the Vikings, but help is on the way for the Giants’ offense, as veteran wide receiver Golden Tate is set to make his 2019 debut after serving a four-game suspension. Last season with the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles, Tate had 795 receiving yards and four touchdown catches.
The Giants are 8-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 road games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Vikings win, 27-21.
