Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs (7:05 PM ET)
Line: Cincinnati Reds (-129) at Chicago Cubs (+119) – view all MLB lines
The Cincinnati Reds had a three-game win streak snapped by a 7-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Although the Cubs limited the Reds to just three runs last time they played, Reds batters Billy Hamilton and Devin Mesoraco have been unstoppable of late. Hamilton is on a 12-game hitting streak while Mesoraco has homered in five-straight games. They will prove to be quite a challenge against Cubs starter Edwin Jackson (5-7, 5.12 ERA).
Writer’s Prediction: Mesoraco and Hamilton go on a hitting spree against Cubs’ Jackson for a Cincinnati win.
Oakland Athletics vs. New York Mets (7:10 PM ET)
Line: Oakland Athletics (-112) at New York Mets (+102); total 7.5 –view all MLB lines
The A’s were utterly dominated losing 10-1 in their first game against the New York Mets. Their only bright spot was Yoenis Cespedes who drove in the team’s lone run. However, the A’s cannot rely on Cespedes alone especially since the Mets have an ace up their sleeve in Zack Wheeler (3-7, 3.93 ERA). The Mets starter is fresh off his first ever complete game shutout against the Miami Marlins. For more on this game, check out our complete preview and prediction here.

Writer’s Prediction: The A’s struggles continue as the Mets take back-to-back wins.
Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Angels (10:05 PM ET)
Line: Minnesota Twins (+170) at Los Angeles Angels (-200); total 8.0 – view all MLB lines
Garrett Richards (7-2, 2.79 ERA) has been a consistent starter for the Angels. This month, he’s gone 3-0, striking out 30, and has held hitters to .163. However, Richards will be in tough against the Twins’ Kendrys Morales and Brian Dozier. Morales homered and had two RBIs in the first game against the Angels. Dozeir is 9-for-17 in his last five games, and has hit .333 in nine career games against the Angels.
Writer’s Prediction: Garrett Richards limits the Twins batters for an Angels win.
Boston Red Sox vs. Seattle Mariners (10:10 PM ET)
Line: Boston Red Sox (+130) at Seattle Mariners (-140); total 7.0 –view all MLB lines
Clay Buchholz (2-4, 7.02 ERA) will be making his first start for the Red Sox after missing nearly a month due to a knee injury. However, the two-time All-Star will be facing a tall task in the Mariners’ offense. The Mariners racked up 20 runs on 24 hits over the last two wins against the Red Sox.
Writer’s Prediction: Buchholz gives up a bundle en route to a loss against Seattle.
