The Jets almost upset the New England Patriots in Week 6, but lost out 28-21 to a video review decision (resulting in a TD loss) that went in the Pats favor. Miami on the other hand is coming off of a big ol’ 20-17 win on the road over the defending NFC-champion Atlanta Falcons. Expect this game to be a tight one.

Betting on the New York Jets (3-3)
The New York Jets were unable to knock off the defending Super Bowl Champions in Week 6 as they let a 14-0 lead slowly slip away throughout the game. Even though New York could not defeat the New England Patriots, Quarterback Josh McCown got off to a hot start and finished with a season-high of 354 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
New York is known for having some awful quarterbacks in the past year, but the 38-year old quarterback has played reasonably well so far this season. McCown has recorded 1374 passing yards, with seven touchdowns and six interceptions.
When New York was riding their early three game winning streak to start the season, the running game was throwing up historic numbers. Against New England, the running game was only able to tally 74 rushing yards. They must get the running game going against the Miami Dolphins.
Betting on the Miami Dolphins (3-2)
The Miami Dolphins have been one of the most surprising teams to start the season as they have knocked off the Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons. They are riding a two game winning streak as they are full of momentum after coming back to beat the Atlanta Falcons. Yes the Atlanta Falcons people.
The Falcons were all over the Dolphins as they had a 17 point halftime lead as it looked over for quarterback Jay Cutler and the phins, but it is not over until Cutler says so. Even though he did not have an amazing game, Cutler finished the game with 151 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The main star in the comeback win against Atlanta was running back Jay Ajayi who rushed for 130 yards on 26 carries and averaged around five yards per rush. The Dolphins defense was spectacular in the win last week, holding Matt Ryan to only one passing touchdown, and only one trip to the red zone. Are the Dolphins for real?
Writer’s Prediction:
Both teams have been taken the NFL by storm as they have built impressive wins on their resume to start the season. However, with the home crowd and strong running game, Miami will get the win. Pick: Dolphins (-3.5)
