Things continue to be unpredictable if not downright wacky here in the league in 2017, which makes the prospect of prop betting all that more intriguing. What have you got to look forward to in Week 8? What about those 7-0 Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers winless records – one (or both) of those have got to be broken, right? Will the 5-2 Patriots continue with their return to championship form as we head into the back half of the season? Then there is Russell Wilson who will be putting his perfect AFC home record on the line as the Seahawks go up against the Houston Texans. These questions will be answered by the end of Week 8, but there are many more to answer with your own wagers. EXPIRED (from Thursday Oct 26/2017)
Who Will Record a Passing Touchdown First – Matt Moore or Joe Flacco?
Moore (-140) / Flacco (+110)
Moore came thorough big against the Jets in Week 7, and this time he will have a couple of days of taking reps with the first team before his Week 8 game, something he did not have before he came on for Cutler against New York. More importably Moore will be looking to secure a starting position on a permanent basis, and will throwing early and hard in this game. Flacco on the other hand, simply isn’t the QB that he once was, and may be starting the game a little shaky.
Will Jarvis Landry Record 7 or More Receptions?
Yes (+130) / No (-160)
Landry’s Week 7 performance against the Jets was impressive. It didn’t matter what defenders threw at him, he had success, catching throws on six different defenders on numerous routes. Landry was targeted 10 times total against the Jets, catching a total of seven for 93 yards and a TD. Landry also had two clutch plays on the final game-tying TD drive. Look for an even bigger performance (with more yards) here in Week 8.
Will Jay Ajayi Record a Touchdown?
Yes (+180) / No (-240)
Jay Ajayi is eighth in the league with a total of 78.2 rushing yards per game, with a pick up of 3.8 per attempt. On the receiving end, Ajayi has been quiet this season. Cutler has targeted him 12 times, and he has seven catches for only 23 yards. He may have better luck on this end with Moore throwing to him.
Will Joe Flacco Throw an Interception?
Yes (-180) / No (+150)
Flacco broke his unfortunate interception streak two week ago, but it still haunts him. Joe is currently tied for third in the league with a total of eight interceptions and he is averaging an NFL-low 5.31 yards per completion. Here’s the catch, Flacco has preached an aggressive offense through his entire career, and yet this season the O has been way too conservative. By returning to his once aggressive path, he will risk throwing more interceptions, but that may get him the wins, which he desperately needs. We like the odds on YES for this prop.
Will Javorius Allen Have Over 60 Rushing+Receiving Yards?
Yes (-115) / No (-115)
Last week, Javorius Allen had six carries for 20 yards, a pitiful 3.3 YPC, and had eight receptions on 11 targeted throws for another 29 yards. Pretty weak stuff. However, Allen was at least involved enough in the team’s passing game, so look for of the same in Week 8 against the Dolphins, especially if the Ravens’ wideout corps continues to be shorthanded, as it was in Week 7.
Will Terrell Suggs Record 1 or More Sacks?
Yes (-140) / No (+110)
At 35-years old, Suggs shows no sign of slowing down in the sack department, with 4.5 sacks to date as we enter Week 8. He’s hungry so look to him to score one more, on Moore, this Thursday night.
