Betting on the Ohio State Buckeyes (22-7)

The Buckeyes took control early during their first meeting with Indiana on Jan. 30 on their way to a convincing 71-56 victory at home. That win actually started a four-game win streak for the Buckeyes, who are averaging 75.8 points per game. Ohio State’s heart and soul is Keita Bates-Diop, the freshman forward who is leading the Buckeyes in points (19.5) and in rebounds (8.8).

Bates-Diop, however, was only limited to 13 points by the Hoosiers, though, he pulled down 13 rebounds and had five assists. The Buckeyes shot 55.8 percent from the field and also dominated the glass with a plus-13 differential in rebounds in that game.

The Buckeyes will arrive in Bloomington with a 6-2 ATS record in their last eight road games.

Betting on the Indiana Hoosiers (16-12)

The Hoosiers are capable of playing better defense than the one they put up against the Buckeyes last January. Indiana is allowing just 69.9 points per game, and has even limited Michigan State to only 63 points, albeit in a loss on Feb. 3. In any case, the Hoosiers need to rebound better this time around. As mentioned earlier, they were thoroughly dominated in that department by Ohio State before, and letting Bates-Diop and company to win the rebounding battle again would probably result to the same fate they had in the first meeting.

Juwan Morgan, who paces the team with 16.6 points per game, had 15 points against Ohio State, but outside of Devonte Green (scored 20 points) no other Hoosier put up more than nine points in that contest.

Indiana is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games as the home team against Ohio State.

Writer’s Prediction:

Ohio State wins, 76-68.
