The Phoenix Suns are plummeting closer and closer to the very foot of the Western Conference standings. They’re now just 3.5 games up on the Los Angeles Lakers for the worst record in the conference. The Suns’ prospects of getting a rare win on Saturday don’t look too great, either, as they visit the defending champion Golden State Warriors, who haven’t lost a regular-season home game for over a year.
The Warriors, though, just recently lost to the worst team in the West. Can the Suns pull off another stunning upset?

Betting on the Phoenix Suns (17-48)
After getting their first back-to-back wins in 2016, the Phoenix Suns have quickly returned to their losing ways. They were thumped by the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets in a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday, as they lost by a combined 49 points.
The Suns are 2-4 in the month of March and their four losses have been by an average of 24.8 points. That’s despite Devin Booker lighting up the scoreboard. The rookie out of Kentucky scored a career-high 35 points against the Nuggets, which pushed his average up to 28.4 points per game in his last five.
Of course, the Suns haven’t been able to stop anyone defensively, just like they haven’t been able to stop the Warriors. In three prior meetings this season, they’ve allowed Golden State to average a whopping 125 points per game.
The Suns were able to cover a huge 16-point spread at home in their last meeting against the Warriors, as they only lost by eight. But before you think a repeat performance is coming, consider that the Suns are 0-8 (2-6 ATS) in their last eight visits to the Oracle. Moreover, they’re 2-18 (3-17 ATS) in their last 20 games on the road.

Betting on the Golden State Warriors
After their shock loss to the Lakers and their close-call against the Magic, the Warriors have settled right back to blowing teams out. The Dubs drubbed the Jazz, 115-94, on Wednesday and exacted some revenge on Damian Lillard’s Blazers with a 128-112 win on Friday.
Those wins pushed the Warriors’ NBA record regular-season home win streak to 47 games.
There’s a temptation to be wary of the Warriors after they laid an egg against the second-worst team in the NBA (the Lakers), and that they might do the same against the second-worst team in the West (the Suns). But that loss to the Lakers was on the road, and needed some horrifically bad games from both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Well, the Splash Brothers seem to have rediscovered their shooting stroke and they’ll be hell-bent on avoiding another humiliating defeat. They combined to go for 71 points on 26-of-45 from the field and 15-of-25 from beyond the arc against the Blazers.
They also happen to enjoy putting up a ton of points on Phoenix. In three games against the Suns this season, they’re averaging a combined 57 points per game. Both have also put up a 40-point game against the Suns.
Writer’s Prediction
The Warriors roll to a 123-99 win over the Suns.
