The Pittsburgh Steelers are making a last push to make it to the playoffs via the wild card route, as it’s highly unlikely for them to finish first in the AFC North. The Arizona Cardinals, meanwhile, will look to stop a five-game winless streak.

Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5)
Even with backups acting as placeholders for some of the starters in Week 13, the Steelers still defeated the Cleveland Browns at home, 20-13. Devlin Hodges passed for 212 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 14-of-21 completions. It was obviously not a spectacular performance, but the Steelers are reportedly leaning towards moving on with him as the quarterback instead of Mason Rudolph. THe Steelers might also miss the services of running back Janes Conner again, whose shoulder injury limited his participation in Wednesday’s practice. If Conner misses another game, Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels will split the backfield duties anew. Snell led the team with 63 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Browns, while Samuels had 32 for 7. Furthermore, star wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster could sit out another game because of a knee issue. Wideout James Washington could fill in the role as the team’s WR1 and have success in Week 14 against the Cardinals’ defense that is worst in the league in defending the pass.
The under is 5-0 in the Steelers’ last five road games.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (3-8-1)
The Cardinals got wrecked hard by the Los Angeles Rams last week in a 34-7 home loss. Kyler Murray was shut down by the Rams, as the rookie quarterback came up with only 163 passing yards with an interception on 19-of-34 completions, while the backfield generated just 3.5 rushing yards per carry. Murray was also sacked six times for a loss of 39 yards. It’s still possible to be objectively confident in the Cardinals more than in the Steelers in Week 14 for the mere fact that Arizona has the better quarterback, but the team’s offensive line will have to be better. On the season, Murray has 2,866 passing yards and 14 touchdowns against six interceptions. He’s also rushed for a touchdown in each of the Cardinals’ last two games. The Cardinals are putting up 21.1 points per game, good for just 20th in the NFL and also allows 29.2 points per contest — second-worst in the league.
The Cardinals are 2-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals win, 23-20.
