The 2013 NFL season schedule kicked off with a rematch of the Raven vs. Broncos thriller from last year’s playoffs and the first quarter looked more like a preseason game. Both Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco look to have shaken off the rust going into the second half and while it doesn’t look like a barn-burner so far, remember that these teams combined for 73 points in their last matchup. We’ll all wonder if former Colts head coach and quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell knows enough of Peyton’s tricks to undermine any potential heroics. On Denver’s side they’ll need to impose some sort of running game (21 yards in first half) to open up more opportunities to move the ball easier.
