The Seattle Seahawks are on a roll, but they know they have to do more to secure a No. 1 seed in the NFC. A win over the Los Angeles Rams will help them over closer to that goal, but it’s going to be easier said than done. The Rams are looking to avenge an earlier loss to Seattle and are coming off a sensational win in Week 13.

Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (10-2)
The Seahawks are a step away from notching the overall top seed in the NFC after dealing the Minnesota Vikings a 37-30 road loss last Monday combined with the San Francisco 49ers’ loss on Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens. Against the 49ers, the Seahawks ran the ball down the throat of the Vikings. Chris Carson led the team with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, while Rashaad Penny provided 74 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Penny has been involved more in the Seahawks’ offense lately, way bigger than his role in the Seahawks’ 30-29 home win over the Rams back in 5, when it was basically a Chris Carson Show in the team’s ground attack. Carson had 118 rushing yards on 27 carries in that game. But the real MVP for the team then was none other than MVP-contender Russell Wilson, who smashed through the Rams’ defense for 268 passing yards and four touchdowns on 17-of-23 completions while also not throwing an interception. With Wilson having better weapons around him now since Week 5, the Rams’ defense could be stretched wider this time around by Seattle.
The Seahawks are 7-3 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 road games.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (7-5)
The Rams got a much-needed boost last Sunday, as they dominated the Arizona Cardinals in a 34-7 win in Glendale. In a way, the victory served as a reminder to the Rams that they are still a great team capable of unloading on offense despite the quality of Arizona’s defense. Jared Goff completed 32 of 43 passes for 424 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, while Todd Gurley rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Gurley had two touchdowns on the ground in the first meeting this season with Seattle. The Rams are hoping that tight end Gerald Everett will return to action in Week 14, as he missed the Arizona game with a knee issue. Everett was a headache for Seattle in Week 5, as he had 136 receiving yards on just seven catches. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp also toyed with Seattle’s secondary in that game, collecting 117 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. The Rams need to get to Wilson in the rematch to cripple the Seahawks’ offense, something they weren’t able to do before.
The under is 6-1 in the Rams’ last seven games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Seahawks win, 27-24.
