Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (odds)

Regular Season Record: 3-7

It’s not a good time for Seahawks fans. Seattle is way behind in the race to the top of the NFC West. Moreover, the Seahawks have no momentum going for them, as they are 0-2 in their last two games. They got shut out by the Green Bay Packers in a 17-0 loss at Lambeau Field in Week 10, then they got smashed at home by the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, with the Cards playing without both DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray. Still, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks must still be good enough to beat a team like Washington. They have the superior quarterback and two talented wide receivers in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Green Bay and Arizona are two legitimate contenders for the Super Bowl with deep rosters, unlike Washington which is arguably in worse shape right now than Seattle. Plus, the Football Team won’t have Chase Young, who would have been a fantastic weapon against Wilson.

The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five Monday games.

Regular Season Record: 4-6

Sure, Washington is also trailing behind in the playoff race in the NFC, but at least the Football Team have a two-game win streak going for them, heading into Monday’s meeting with the Seahawks. Washingon ended a four-game losing skid wiht a 29-19 upset home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10 then proceeded to take down Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in a 27-21 road win in Week 11. Regardless of what you think of Washington, this team is in the zone, and sometimes, that’s all a group needs to keep going. And then there’s also the status of the Seahawks, who are not looking like a team that is on the same page. Wilson is struggling to connect to his receivers and Seattle’s ground attack is missing its top weapon in Chris Carson. There are plenty of factors going in favor of Washington in Week 12 against the Seahawks. Don’t count the Football Team making it three in a row.

Washington is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven games in Week 12.
