Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

Tom Brady remains the center of attention in Tampa Bay, but the Buccaneers’ defense took center stage right out of the gate, as it punished Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in a 19-3 home win in Week 1. That defense will have to continue stepping up, especially with Tampa Bay’s offense taking hits in the forms of injuries to left tackle Donovan Smith and wide receiver Chris Godwon. Godwin could potentially miss multiple weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against the Cowboys. Also look for running back Leonard Fournette to come up with another big game after rushing for 127 yards on 21 carries versus Dallas. Up next for him is a New Orleans defense that allowed over 200 rushing yards to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.

The Buccaneers are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games in Week 2.

Betting on the New Orleans Saints (+3)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

The Saints passed their first test of the season by downing Atlanta in a 27-26 come-from-behind win last Sunday on the road. Jameis Winston passed for 269 yards and two touchdowns without an interception on 23/34 completions, while Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas had 114 and 57 receiving yards, respectively. Thomas caught both of Winston’s touchdown tosses, which sent a strong warning to future Saints opponents. Running back Alvin Kamara reportedly had a rib issue when he played in Week 1, but it doesn’t seem to be serious enough to put his Week 2 status in great jeopardy.

The Saints are 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 games against teams in the NFC South division.
