The Titans just need a win in Week 18 and they’d be in the playoffs. That’s going to be easier said than done, given their current form and the way the Jaguars have been playing of late. Nevertheless, what’s important is that they’re still in playoff contention. Look for the Titans to ride running back Derrick Henry hard. Henry is capable of singlehandedly winning a game for the Titans with his rushing abilities. He did not play in Week 17’s 27-13 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys, so he should have all the energy he needs to battle Jacksonville. Henry rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in a 36-22 loss in Tennessee to the Jaguars back in Week 14.
The Titans are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last 5 games after a double-digit home loss.
Betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars (-6.0)
Regular Season Record: 7-9
Jacksonville is on a roll at just the right time. Thanks to the Titans losing a bunch of games and to them winning four in a row, the Jaguars have put themselves in a position to win a playoff spot with a victory this coming Saturday. Jacksonville is coming off a 31-3 victory over the Houston Texans on the road in Week 17. The Jaguars are peaking, with Trevor Lawrence playing like the elite quarterback the team envisioned him to be when it took him first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. In the win over Tennesee, Lawrence passed for 368 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions in 30/42 competitions.
The Jaguars are 4-0 against the spread in their last 4 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Titans win, 23-20.
