The Jacksonville Jaguars (+4000 to win the AFC) may have lost Nick Foles for multiple weeks, but they’ve been surprisingly fun to watch if only because of Gardner Minshew and the mystery that surrounds his potential – and his mustache. They will be hosting the Tennessee Titans (+3500 to win the AFC) this coming Thursday. Will Minshew lead the Jags to their first win of the season? Or will the Titans rebound from a tough loss?

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (1-1)
The Titans were grounded by Indianapolis in their home opener, taking a 19-17 loss on Sunday. After towering over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 with a scoring explosion, the Titans’ offense had a sharp plummet against the Colts. Quarterback Marcus Mariota only had 154 passing yards and a touchdown on 19 of 28 pass completions, while running back Derrick Henry had 15 carries for 81 rushing yards and a touchdown. Despite the loss, the Titans have a good chance for a bounce-back against the struggling Jaguars, who are currently being spearheaded by a rookie quarterback Tennessee should be able to handle defensively. Henry could continue his solid start to the season facing the Jags’ defense that has allowed a rushing touchdown in each of the past two weeks
The over is 3-1 in the Titans’ last four games.
Betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)
Gardner Minshew’s legend is growing each passing week. In his first career start, Minshew passed for 213 yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 23 of 33 completions. His lone touchdown strike was engineered late in the game that brought the Jaguars within a point of the Houston Texans on Sunday, but was followed up by a botched two-point conversion try. The Jaguars ultimately picked up a 13-12 loss, but the team is definitely seeing more than what they expected of the former Washington State Cougars signal-caller. Minshew will get another start with Nick Foles out, and he’ll be dealing with Tennessee’s stop unit that allowed three touchdown passes to Brissett last week. The Jags’ defense also kept them in the game against Deshaun Watson and company, and it’s going have to be as sturdy against Tennessee. Jacksonville’s pass rush could exploit the Titans’ offensive line that allowed four sacks to the Colts.
The under is 4-1 in the Jaguars’ last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Jaguars win, 17-16.
