Tennessee Titans – 2013 NFL Team Preview

2012-2013 Regular Season: 6-10 SU | 6-10 ATS

The Titans finished second to the last in the AFC South with records of 6-10 SU and 6-10 ATS. The team did manage to end their season on a good note by winning both SU and ATS in 2 of their last 3 games. The team went yet another year of Chris Johnson failing to repeat his record setting 2006 yard performance and another year closer to giving up on the Jake Locker experiment.

The Titans suffered 6 losses last season with a margin of 21 points or more, which only amplified the clamor for the team to improve its defense and offense. To address their goal of an improve ground attack the Titans signed free agent Andy Levtire and drafted Chance Warmack as their first pick in the draft. Tennessee hopes that the wheeling and dealing in the offseason will spark their team as much as many offseason analysts project. Right now, they are given a line of 6.5 wins in the 2013 regular season total wins odds and received high grades for their offseason.

Tennessee hopes to start on a winning note this coming season when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 as 7-point underdogs. The Titans won against Pittsburgh last year both SU and ATS and also against the spread in 3 of their last 5 meetings against the Steelers.
