The Texas A&M Aggies stopped their losing streak to three games after being fed with a minnow in Week 10 in the form of the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Next week, however, would certainly be a much different experience for the Aggies, as they meet the Auburn Tigers, a team that is fresh off a huge win over the Ole Miss Rebels.
In another intriguing matchup next Saturday, the Baylor Bears take on the Oklahoma Sooners. You can read a preview of that game here.

Betting on the Texas A&M Aggies
[sc:NCAA240banner ]The thrill of Aggies football was obviously missing literally and figuratively, albeit in their 21-16 victory Saturday over a pedestrian Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks squad.
Starting in place of the suspended Kenny “Trill” Hill, backup quarterback Kyle Allen struggled mightily against a middling Warhawks defense, throwing for just 106 yards and a touchdown on 13 of 28 passing. His production was way off the Aggies’ previous average of 364.1 passing yards per game, ranked fifth in the nation prior to the ballgame.
Auburn doesn’t offer a top-tier passing defense either (242.0 passing yards per game), but Allen hasn’t shown that he is capable of breaking down such a defense based from his disappointing performance against ULM. This likely means a bigger role for the Aggies’ backfield next Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where running backs Brandon Williams and Tra Carson hope to continue their sufficient contribution on offense. Both backs led Texas A&M’s rushing attack against the Warhawks, combining for 118 of the Aggies 137 total rushing yards, while adding a touchdown each.
Freshman Myles Garrett, meanwhile, should give Auburn’s offensive line a reason to ramp up its protection of Nick Marshall. Garrett has been a beast on the pass rush thus far this season with a total of 11, the most for anyone in the SEC.
The over is 3-1 in the Aggies’ last four road games.

Betting on the at Auburn Tigers
Perhaps the Tigers didn’t get the memo that says the Ole Miss Rebels are the hardest team to score on. Or maybe they did and simply went to Oxford confident that they’ll destroy and embarrass the Rebels, who prior to the contest was no. 1 in the nation with only 13.2 points per game allowed. Auburn did just that, beating the third-ranked team in the College Football Playoffs Saturday, 35-31.
How the Tigers ripped Ole Miss’ defense makes Auburn look primed to dominate Texas A&M’s own defensive unit next Saturday. Nick Marshall, who passed for 254 yards and two TDs against the Rebels, will be up against a sloppy Aggies’ defense against the pass that has been tattered to pieces over their last four games. The Aggies have surrendered 257 passing yards over that stretch.
The Aggies rushing defense, meanwhile, have shown some signs of life in their win against Louisiana-Monroe, which they limited down to just 78 yards on the ground. However, Cameron Artis-Payne (974 rushing yards, 7 TDs) and dual-threat Marshall (631 yards, 9 TDs) aren’t in the same class as anyone from the Warhawks’ backfield that rushes just 93.0 yards per game. A miniscule figure when juxtaposed to Auburn’s 277.3 rushing yards per game average.
The Tigers are 10-0 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as the home team.
Writer’s Prediction
Auburn wins, 37-25.
