Betting on the Washington Wizards (+7)
The duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal has become scarier over the past two games, and the Wizards are hoping the two could continue their might ways on the court this Wednesday in Toronto. Washington is 4-4 ATS in its last eight games overall. In Game 4, Wall scored 27 points and dished out 14 assists, which were almost identical to the numbers he posted in Game 3 in which he had 28 points and 14 dimes. As for Beal, he had 31 points in Game 4 and hit five threes on seven attempts. He has nine 3-pointers in the last two games. The Wizards are also feeding off their selflessness, as they are currently second among playoff teams in assists with 26.8 handed out per contest, and yet have only committed 12.3 turnovers per outing.
Betting on the Toronto Raptors (-7)
The turnovers have piled up for the Raptors in their recent trip to Washington, and it’s something that Toronto head coach Dwane Casey is surely going to address during team meetings ahead of Wednesday’s Game 5. The Raptors have committed 18 turnovers in each of their last two games, paving the way for the Wizards to get plenty of easy buckets. Also hurting Toronto is the inability of Serge Ibaka to be a major factor. After scoring just three points in Game 3, the big man only had seven points in Game 4. The Raptors’ frontcourt is surprisingly unable to maximize its advantage of Marcin Gortat and the Wizards’ frontline. The Raptors will hope to rediscover their game this Wednesday at home, where they are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games there.
Writer’s Prediction:
The Raptors win, 110-107.
