Betting on the Wisconsin Badgers (4-2)
The Wisconsin Badgers have taken care of business lately, winning four of their past five outings and are currently on a two-game winning streak. Their latest triumph was opposite a winless Prairie View team, 85-67, last Wednesday night. In that game, they were able to run away with a victory thanks to six players scoring in double figures. Two of them include juniors, Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes.
[sc:NCAAB240banner ] Koenig, who leads the team in scoring (17.3 PPG), continued his strong start to the year with a 16-point performance. Hayes, on the other hand, added 10 points of his own and dished a game-high of seven assists. The two will strive to sustain their momentum when they take on the seventh-ranked Oklahoma Sooners at Lloyd Noble Center this Sunday.
The Badgers will also need another all-around effort from their entire roster to bring down the Sooners. They’ll hope that Koenig and Hayes could keep replicating their outputs and help the team hang tight with Oklahoma’s offense that averages 88.3 PPG, which is among the highest in the nation.
Defense, though, will be the deciding factor in this matchup. The Badgers’ defense has got to find a way to stop the likes of Buddy Hield (25.0 PPG), Isaiah Cousins (12.0 PPG) and Jordan Woodard (11.3 PPG) from getting easy buckets and locating their sweet spots.
Wisconsin is 3-3 ATS thus far this season.

Betting on the Oklahoma Sooners (3-0)
Oklahoma’s dominance has been on full display through their first three games of the season. They’ve beaten their opponents by average margin of 24.0 points. The Sooners now aim to stretch their unbeaten run to four games when they play host to the 4-2 Wisconsin Badgers later.
A huge reason for their recent success is none other than the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year—Buddy Hield. The senior shooting guard has imposed his will through three games, tallying a total of 76 points in 80 minutes of play. Hield’s also been deadly from almost anywhere on the court during that stretch, shooting 57% from the floor, 58% from beyond the arc and 88% from the charity stripe.
But no matter how good Hield’s been, he can’t carry the entire load on offense versus a balanced Badgers team that averages 76.2 PPG and allows 68.2 PPG. That said, look to his teammates in Isaiah Cousins and Jordan Woodard to take some of the burden off his shoulders. Both are averaging 23.3 points combined this season.
Meanwhile, center Ryan Spangler has made some noise from both sides of the hardwood and could ultimately be a vital factor to their chances’ of winning. He’s had two double-double performances already and is leading Oklahoma in the blocks department with 1.3 per game.
