The Detroit game has been cancelled forcing Masahiro to prepare for the hard-hitting Blue Jays, who won 3-0 on Sunday against Boston. Tanaka went 2-2 with a 2.42 ERA in four starts against Toronto last year. The Yankees, who beat Detroit 8-4 on Saturday, will be hitting opposite Toronto’s Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez impressed during his first start of the season, allowing just an earned run on five hits across seven innings of a 3-2 loss in Tampa Bay on April 5. The Yankees are 3-1 in Tanaka’s last four road starts, while the Blue Jays are 3-1 in their last four at home versus the Bronx Bombers.
