The Falcons are coming off of their bye week to host the Dolphins in Week 6. The Atlanta Falcons are double-digit home favorites for Sunday, but we can’t help but be left wondering if their defeat back in Week 4 (prior to their bye) against the Buffalo Bills (23-17) as eight-point home chalk may come back to haunt them at home?

Betting on the Miami Dolphins (2-2)
The Miami Dolphins will hit the road as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in hopes of winning back to back games. It’s been a rough season so far but the Dolphins along with quarterback Jay Cutler are looking to improve. Cutler has 706 passing yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions on the season, as the veteran quarterback is barely getting the job done.
In their latest victory against the Tennessee Titans, the defense was able to hold onto a huge statement win as they left the field 16-10. Miami’s defense was stellar as they held the Titans scoreless for their last five possessions. It was an ugly game for both sides as the Titans finished with 188 total yards and the Dolphins had 178.
However it is a new week and the Dolphins along with running back Jay Ajayi are looking to cause some problems in Atlanta. The Falcons have a running back star of their own as the Dolphins will hope to stop Freeman for less than 79 yards as they did against the Titans.
Betting on the Atlanta Falcons (3-1)
The Atlanta Falcons are looking to get back into first place as they have been one of the most impressive teams in the league over the first weeks. With quality wins over the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears they suffered their first loss on the season against the surprisingly Buffalo Bills.
One of those reasons why the Falcons struggled to score against the Buffalo defense was due to key injuries of wide receiver Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu. However with the rested bye week. Both wr’s are looking to return to action and keep this red-hot offense going.
If the Miami Dolphins think they can handle the passing game, wait until they meet both running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman who have been workhorses so far this season. The Falcons have rushed for over 500 rushing yards on the season with seven touchdowns.
Writer’s Prediction
The Falcons had over a week to rest key players on offense and Matt Ryan will once again put Jay Cutler to shame. Pick: Falcons (-12.5)
