Chelsea vs. Swansea (10:00 AM ET)

The last time Chelsea were in action in the league, they had a creditable 1-1 draw away at Burnley. But despite Swansea’s recent resurgence under manager Paul Clement – three wins in their last four – don’t count on the Swans getting anything out of their trip to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have yet to drop points in back-to-back Premier League games all season, and they have been absolutely dominant at home this season. They’ve won 11 out of a possible 12 matches with 33 goals scored and just seven conceded.

Writer’s Prediction: Chelsea take care of business with a 2-0 home win. Take the total to go UNDER 3.0 goals for better value.

Crystal Palace vs. Middlesbrough (10:00 AM ET)

Crystal Palace have been in simply disastrous form, with just one win and five defeats in their last seven league games. But this match at home against Middlesbrough is simply must-win for Sam Allardyce. If Palace can’t get a home win against a Boro side which has won just once away from home (1-6-5) and has scored only eight goals in those games, they will almost surely go down.

Palace might go down anyway, but with their growing sense of desperation, they at least get to add at least one more win to their disastrous home record against Boro. They currently have the fewest home wins in the division with two (2-1-9).

Writer’s Prediction: Crystal Palace (-101) gets a much-needed 2-0 home win.

Everton vs. Sunderland (10:00 AM ET)

Everton suffered a bit of a stumble last time out as they were held to a goalless draw away to Middlesbrough. That wasn’t too surprising given their patchy away form, but anything less than all three points at home against bottom-club Sunderland will be quite a shock.

Everton have been a force to be reckoned with at Goodison Park recently. Ever since losing their lone home game of the season in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool, Everton have won their last three games at Goodison by a combined total of 13-3. That’s some impressive stuff.

Writer’s Prediction: Everton record another big home win, 3-0. Take them at -1, -1.5 on the Asian Handicap for added value.

Hull City vs. Burnley (10:00 AM ET)

If recent form holds true for both teams – and it’s hard to see a reason why it won’t – then this should be one of the more straightforward matchups of the weekend. Hull have been much improved under manager Marco Silva, and they’ve been a tough out at home. They’ve lost just once in their last seven home games (3-3-1), and most recently beat Liverpool the last time they played there.

On the flipside, Burnley remain pretty hopeless away from home. They’ve picked up a single point on their travels all season with just five goals scored in 11 games. Despite facing a relegation side, it’s still hard to see Burnley getting that elusive first away win at the KCOM.

Writer’s Prediction: Hull (EVEN) gets the 1-0 home win.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Bournemouth (10:00 AM ET)

West Brom v Bournemouth is another game that should be a simple one to call based on the form book. West Brom have been excellent at home, with five wins in their last six.

And now, they face a Bournemouth side which is absolutely short on confidence at the moment. The Cherries are winless in their last seven games in all competitions, and have lost three games on the trot. They’ve won just twice in 12 away games all season, and are tied for the worst away defensive record with 28 goals given up.

Writer’s Prediction: West Brom (-106) beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Hawthorns.

Watford vs. West Ham United (12:30 PM ET)

Watford lost 2-0 last time out to Man United at Old Trafford, which halted a pretty decent run. They had gone four matches unbeaten, including back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Burnley. However, they face a West Ham side which has won three of its last four games away from home, scoring at least three goals in all their wins.

The Hammers have been very impressive in the way they’ve managed to take care of business against teams they should beat. Ever since December, they’ve won six of seven matches against teams currently in the bottom half of the table. Watford are currently 13th, and that likely spells defeat for them even at Vicarage Road.

Writer’s Prediction: West Ham (+175) score another good away win, 2-1

Sunday, February 26

Tottenham vs. Stoke City (8:30 AM ET)

There’s the possibility Tottenham could be a bit weary after crashing out of the Europa League in midweek, but fact that they didn’t need to travel is a positive on their side. They also can’t afford much more slip-ups, especially now that Man City have overtaken them for second.

Stoke have the potential to play spoilers, but Spurs are just too good at home to suffer any setback. They’re record – 10-2-0 with 26 goals scored and just five conceded – speaks for itself.

Writer’s Prediction: Tottenham takes care of business with a 2-0 home win. Take the total to go UNDER 3.0 goals for added value.

Leicester City vs. Liverpool (3:00 PM ET)

Leicester finally pulled the trigger and fired title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri shortly after their midweek Champions League defeat, which is a bit sad. The Italian just seemed to lose the locker room this season, as the champions are now right on the cusp of relegation no thanks to five consecutive league defeats.

A managerial firing can often be the kick in the backside a team needs to get its act together, though. That, coupled with Liverpool’s rockiness away from home, and the champs might just get something out of this game.

Writer’s Prediction: Leicester force a hard-fought 1-1 draw (+265).
