1. Miami Heat
Next Games: at TOR, vs CHA, vs DET
[sc:NBA240banner ]Don’t look now, but Miami is heating up. The Heat are proud owners of the league’s longest winning streak, which stands at eight games.
Miami’s next three opponents (Toronto, Charlotte, Detroit) are all currently under .500, so it’s very conceivable that they extend their winning streak to double digits. The Heat play two games back home in South Beach, where they’re 8-1 SU this season.
2. Houston Rockets
Next Games: vs BKN, at SA, at UTA, vs PHO
The Rockets are finally finding their groove. Houston has been on a tear in the past two weeks, going 6-1 SU and an unbeaten 6-0-1 ATS.
The Rockets have a couple very winnable home games this week vs Brooklyn and Phoenix; Houston is 7-2 SU at home so far.
3. Indiana Pacers
Next Games: vs WAS, at LAC, at POR, at UTA
Indiana is not letting up with their incredible early season pace. The Pacers are now 14-1 and the sole owners of the best record in the NBA.
Paul George and co. have an upcoming five-game Western road trip, three of which will be in the next seven days. But the Pacers have been very capable on the road of late. Indiana is 6-1 ATS on its travels this season.
4. Oklahoma City Thunder
Next Games: vs GS, vs MIN, at SAC, at POR
Oklahoma City is still very much among the teams to beat in the West. The Thunder are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last 6 games, including a five-game winning streak.
They have tough tests against potential playoff teams Golden State and Minnesota to begin this week, but those will be at home in OKC where they’re a perfect 7-0 SU so far.
5. Phoenix Suns
Next Games: at UTA, vs UTA, at MEM, at HOU [sc:NBA240banner ]
The other shoe has dropped during Phoenix’s incredible road run; the Suns lost their first game ATS this week when they were trounced by Miami.
However, they will have three opportunities to better their still very impressive 6-1-1 road ATS record when they visit the Jazz, Grizzlies and Rockets.
