Top Bet Games to Bet On

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions (November 28 | 12:30 PM ET)

Matt Flynn, Green Bay Packers, NFL

Matt Flynn takes the quarterbacking reins from Scott Tolzien against Detroit. Flynn took over Tolzien in the game against the Vikings and orchestrated the Packers’ comeback from 16 points down to force overtime. Flynn passed for 218 yards and a touchdown in the game that ended in a tie, 26-26. Despite the quandaries at the QB position, the Packers are fifth in passing yards with 284.5 per game. [sc:NFL240banner ]

Since losing Rodgers, Green Bay has lost two games (three if you count the Packers week 9 loss to Chicago, where Rodgers got his shoulder injured) before tying their match against Minnesota last week.

Green Bay is 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five games against the Lions.

Odds: Green Bay (+7) vs. Detroit (-7), O/U: 49.5

Detroit dropped their last game against the rejuvenated Buccaneers, 24-21, for their second loss in a row, failing to break a tie in the first place of the NFC North with the Chicago Bears who also have an identical 6-5 SU record. The Lions didn’t help their cause in that game as they threw four interceptions and committed five turnovers.

The Lions will have another crack at breaking away from the tie with a win over Green Bay and they could do so by avoiding turnovers and letting their smooth passing game dictate the game. The Lions are third in the NFL in passing yards, totaling 308.4 per game.

Detroit is 3-1 SU in their last four home games.

Oakland Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys (November 28 |4:30 PM ET)

Matt McGloin starts again for the Raiders for the third straight time despite Terrelle Pryor fully healthy. On the strength of McGloin’s solid performances in Oakland’s last two games where he compiled 457 passing yards and four touchdowns with only one interception, the Raiders are ready to gamble again on him while Pryor sits on the sidelines.

The Raiders strong running game (104.6 yards per game), which ranks fourth in the league, gets back one of its weapons as Darren McFadden returns to action after a three-game absence due to injury. During McFadden’s absence, Rashad Jennings did a great job, rushing an average of 103.6 yards in three games.

Oakland is 4-1 ATS in its last five road games.

Odds: Oakland (+7.5) vs. Dallas (-7.5), O/U: 47.5

Due to the Eagles emergence, Dallas finds itself in a precarious position where it can’t afford to lose anymore, especially with a few games left on the schedule. Tony Romo can lead the Cowboys to a win against Oakland to snap their tie with Philadelphia, which shares the first place spot of the NFC East with the Cowboys. Flanking Romo’s air attack is running back DeMarco Murray who has 634 rushing yards so far this season. He had 175 yards in the past two games.

The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last four games at AT&T Stadium.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens (November 28 |8:30 PM ET)

John Harbaugh, Baltimore Ravens, NFL

Whether the Steelers are playing good football or not, they will be all out against fierce nemesis, Baltimore. Pittsburgh is looking to build their winning streak into four games and gain sole ownership of second place in the AFC North. More importantly, a win will strengthen their case for an AFC wild card ticket. [sc:NFL240banner ]

Pittsburgh has been successful in the air in their recent games. Behind Ben Roethlisberger’s improved play, the Steelers are producing 270.2 passing yards per game in the last five games.

Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Baltimore.

Odds: Pittsburgh (+3) vs. Baltimore (-3), O/U: 41.0

There is still hope for the Ravens despite being hobbled by their inconsistent play. Coach John Harbaugh’s boys are fresh off  a 19-3 silencing of the Jets last Sunday. It was the fewest points they’ve given up in a game since 2009. Baltimore would like nothing more than to employ that kind of suffocating defense against their archrival tonight when they host the Steelers for their second meeting of the season.

The Ravens allowed only 220 total yards to the Jets and sacked rookie QB Geno Smith three times while intercepting two of this passes.

The Ravens are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six away games.
