Denver Nuggets vs. Chicago Bulls (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Denver Nuggets (+2.5) vs. Chicago Bulls (-2.5); total: 221.5 – view all NBA lines
The Chicago Bulls stretched their unbeaten run to four games with a commanding 117-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The Bulls took advantage of LeBron James’ absence as seven Chicago players scored in double-figures. Dwyane Wade scored 20 points while Jimmy Butler recorded a triple-double for the Bulls who climbed into a sixth-place in the Eastern Conference standings.
They will look to keep the momentum going when they lock horns with the Denver Nuggets tonight. The Bulls will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have fared extremely well against the Nuggets at home of late. The Bulls have won each of their last three meetings with the Nuggets at United Center. The Nuggets, however, have covered the spread in their previous five games against the Bulls. That includes their 110-107 victory over Chicago earlier this season.
The Bulls are 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 home games against the Nuggets.
Writer’s Prediction
Chicago (-2.5) wins, 108-103.
Utah Jazz vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Utah Jazz (-1.5) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (+1.5); total: 204.0 – view all NBA lines
The Oklahoma City Thunder will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they square off with the Utah Jazz at Chesapeake Energy Arena later tonight. The Thunder are coming off an impressive 118-110 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Russell Westbrook recorded his 29th triple-double of the season for the Thunder who moved to within a half-game of the Memphis Grizzlies for sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder will have their work cut out for them, however, against a Utah side that’s 17-11 on the road this season. The Jazz are in the midst of a three-game winning streak as well, punctuated by a 102-92 victory over Washington on Sunday. Gordon Hayward exploded for 30 points for the Jazz who maintained their three-game advantage against OKC in the Northwest Standings. The Jazz split their first two meetings with the Thunder this season.
The Thunder are 10-0 SU and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games against the Jazz.
Writer’s Prediction
Oklahoma City (+1.5) wins, 105-101.
