Betting on the Chicago Bulls (38-40)
Point Spread: -6
Tuesday night’s 100-91 loss to the Knicks snapped a four-game winning streak of the Bulls who now look to quickly rebound in Philadelphia, where they’ve gone 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six visits, including a 105-89 win last November.
Jimmy Butler’s had his way with the Sixers in three meetings this season, averaging 30.0 points, 7.0 assists and 6.3 rebounds, while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor. He’s also scored 25 or more points in his last five contests.
Take note of Nikola Mirotic, as well. The 26-year-old forward has picked up his scoring since the All-Star break, racking up 14.1 points on 42.6 percent shooting from deep. Mirotic has 18 three-pointers in his previous five games.
Betting on the Philadelphia 76ers (28-50)
Point Spread: +6
The Sixers are losers of four in a row, which is the inevitable result of their pathetic defense. They’ve given up no less than 113 points in each of their last three contests; an ugly stretch capped off by a 141-118 loss to the league’s worst team—the Nets.
Phily can at least take something positive from its offense despite the loss. Seven Sixers players scored in double-digits there, including every starter. Leading the way was Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot who delivered 19 points to his name. He’s averaging 20.3 points in his previous three outings.
Moreover, the Sixers also got the better of Chicago in their latest meeting last month, where Dario Saric put up a career-high of 32 points and 10 rebounds to help Philadelphia notch the 117-107 road win. Saric is tallying 18.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game since the All-Star break.
