Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will be looking to extend their lead in the NBA Finals as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers for Game 2 on Sunday. But before that, tune in for some MLB baseball, as Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale faces the Baltimore Orioles for the second time this year.

Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles (1:35 PM ET)
Line: Boston Red Sox (-200) at Baltimore Orioles (+170); total 8.5 – view all MLB lines
Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale will be looking to bounce back from his worst start of the season last time out. Sale went just five innings in his first game against his former team, the Chicago White Sox, and also gave up a season-high five earned runs. He’ll be up against the Baltimore Orioles, a team he’s given up just three runs against in his last three starts (21 innings).
Meanwhile, the O’s will counter with Chris Tillman, who is also coming off his own disastrous start. Tillman lasted only 2.2 innings, and gave up five earned runs (with three home runs) in an 8-3 loss to the Yankees. Tillman has completed six innings just once in his five starts this season, but his teams are 13-3 in his last 16 starts against the Red Sox.
Writer’s Prediction
Sale and the Red Sox (-200) take it to Tillman as they beat the O’s.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Cleveland Cavaliers (+9) at Golden State Warriors (-9); total 220.5 – view all NBA lines
The Cavs have some work to do after getting rocked 113-91 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Cleveland’s outstanding offense was held to just 35 percent shooting, as they got very little production apart from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, who combined for 52 of their 91 points. Meanwhile, their defense coughed up way too many points at the rim, something which has to improve in Game 2.
As for the Warriors, they should take heart from the fact that as well as they played, they could still play better. They missed way too many shots from close-range, while Klay Thompson and Draymond Green combined to go just 6-of-28. Luckily for them, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry continued their fine play in Game 1. The two former MVPs combined to go for 66 points, 14 rebounds, and 18 assists, to lead the Warriors to their 13th-straight win in the playoffs.
Golden State is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cavaliers (+9) keep it closer this time around as they cover the spread.
