Thursday’s edition of Best Games to Bet On will feature four MLB teams with a dangerous core of batters. A couple of these teams are on a tight spot, as they are battling for a better position in the wild card race, so their intensity is sure to be up a notch.

Frustration is high on the Brewers’ side, as they enter the game having lost four-straight, with the last three coming from the Twins. They will be starting Zach Davies, one of their best-performing pitchers, to help stop the bleeding. Davis is 13-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 23 starts this season, and he has only given up one run in his last 21.2 innings.
The Twins, meanwhile, are putting their four-game winning streak in danger, as they are tapping the struggling Kyle Gibson next to start on the mound. The 6’6 pitcher only is only 6-9 on the year, and has an ugly 6.03 ERA. Further, the Brewers are batting a decent .282 against him all-time (44-for-156).

Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners (7:10 PM ET)
The Angels enter as winners in six of their last nine, with Mike Trout taking his usual place in the center of the spotlight, as he is 10-for-24 with four homers and seven RBIs in the past week. The team and its fans are hoping Trout continues his tear tomorrow, with projected starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (1-2, 4.32 ERA) allowing the Mariners’ current roster to go 23-for-73 (.319) against him in their careers.
Things are bit brighter on the Mariners’ locker room. They have won eight of their last 11 and could be on their way for another win, as starter James Paxton is stepping up next. The lefty hurler is 12-3 with a 2.70 ERA in 19 games this season, and he has earned a W in each of his last seven starts. Also, the Angels are only 26-for-130 (.200) against him all-time. Nelson Cruz and Danny Valencia, who are collectively 14-for-34 with four homers and 11 RBIs in the last seven days, will be the key batters.
