Betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)
The Jacksonville Jaguars came out of the gates as one of the hottest teams in the NFL in Week 1 shocking the Houston Texans 29-7 on the road. However, after we all caught our breaths, the Jags returned to being the Jags again in Week 2. They lost to the Tennessee Titans 37-16 and looked like the same old team that we all know and love. Blake Bortles was his usual average self going 20-34 with one touchdown and two picks, while their defense also came back down to earth as well. Following their ridiculous 8-sack effort against Houston, they registered three last week. Which is still pretty substantial, but the competition will be a lot tougher in Week 3 than it was against either of their familiar AFC South foes.
Despite losing Danny Woodhead for at least a month, the Ravens have picked up the pieces pretty quickly. They slotted in Javorious “Buck” Allen and the team has taken off. They destroyed the Bengals 20-0 in Week 1 and dropped Cleveland 24-10 last week. They’re one of the hottest teams in football with 8 interceptions on the year; the most in the NFL.
For the Jags to win this game, they’ve got one hope – Leo Fournette. He’s registered touchdowns in each of his two games so far and will need to stay hot for his team to be relevant at Wembley.
Betting on the Baltimore Ravens (2-0)
The Baltimore Ravens could, should and likely will win this game. Don’t quote us! Every little bit of momentum is swinging in their favor though and they’ve got the tools to back it all up. Joe Flacco is connecting decently with his receivers going 66% for three touchdowns through two weeks. Both Allen and Terrance West are averaging over ten yards per carry and over 50 yards per game.
Their offense isn’t red hot, but they also won’t need to be in this one. It’s their defense that’s won them their games so far. Did we mention the league leading 8-picks? That’s ridiculous, but they’re also second in the league allowing an average of 5.0 Points Per Game and are tenth in the league allowing just 303.5 Yards Per Game.
In other words, the Ravens are sitting pretty in this one.
