The Jacksonville Jaguars opened as 4.5-point home favorites and were bet down ever-so-slightly to -4 (at press). The Jaguars are coming off a 23-7 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9, and is currently allowing just 3.5 points per game over its last two games. The Jags’ record thus far is 5-3 straight up and against the spread (ATS).
The Los Angeles Chargers are coming in refreshed after a bye week, and hope to recover from a 21-13 on the road loss to New England in Week 8. The Chargers are currently 3-5 straight up and 3-4-1 ATS on the season.
This is the fifth game between the two squads since 2013, with the Chargers owning bragging rights, having won (and covered) in each. Will they claim a fifth over the Jaguars, as the underdog?

Betting on the Los Angeles Chargers (3-5)
Could the Los Angeles Chargers once again be heading down the mountain of straight losses? After starting the season 0-4, Los Angeles kicked it into high gear as they won three straight games. In those three games, included divisional wins against the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders. However in their recent matchup against the New England Patriots, they were unable to keep pace with the defending champs.
With losing 21-13, Los Angeles played extremely well, however turned the ball over three times as New England took charge from their. Quarterback Philip Rivers, finished the game with 212 passing yards on 30 attempts with a touchdown, interception and fumble.
The only running game that was witnessed during the game was from Chargers Melvin Gordon who scored on a 87 yard touchdown run but was shutdown the rest of the game. Los Angeles will now face a tough Jacksonville team that has one of the best defenses in the league. Rivers must score fast and early to take charge of the game.
Betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)
The tough Jacksonville defense was back on the spotlight as they surprised the Bengals with yet another performance that should get opposing teams scared. Jacksonville shutdown Cincinnati as quarterback Andy Dalton was only able to complete 136 passing yards on 18 attempts. With the passing game shut down, Jacksonville focused on the run to close out the game.
At the end of the day, Cincinnati only totaled 28 rushing yards as the Bengals were pushed around all four quarters in the Jungle. With the defense taking most of the game away from the Bengals, it was not too hard for the offense to get a couple solid drives to win the game.
Without running back Fournette, Chris Ivory took charge of the game as he totaled 71 rushing yards and receiving another 34 yards through the air. Jacksonville totaled over 120 rushing yards and over 250 passing yards as it was a solid win as they stay home to host the struggling Chargers.
Writer’s Prediction:
Los Angeles struggled away from their “home” as this Jaguars defense will let them know they should be feared.Jacksonville continues to impress as they secure their 6th victory of the season. Pick: Jaguars (-3.5)
