Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – NFL Week 13 2017

The Tennessee Titans are giving away nearly a touchdown here against the Texans, and if recent trends have anything to say about it, Houston is a strong play at this number. The Texans have covered in seven of the previous eight meetings overall, and five of their last six games at Nissan Stadium. Houston has also gone 4-1 O/U in its last five games on the road, while the Titans have covered just nine times in almost three dozen of its last 35 home games overall.

At press, nearly 60% of TopBet bettors are taking the Texans and the points in this game, while two-thirds are rolling with the under on the 43-point (at press) total. Below average QB play on both sides doesn’t have anyone thinking (and betting) that this will be a high-scoring affair, even if trends suggest that betting the over might still be a smart choice. The Texans is 9-2 O/U in its last 11 games, while the Titans have gone over in each of its last four home games.

TV Broadcast: CBS

Betting on the Houston Texans (4-6)

Point Spread: (+7)

It’s a huge game that might have a lot of say in who makes the playoffs on Sunday afternoon. It’s an AFC South showdown when the Houston Texans make the trip to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. The Texans have won six of the last seven games played between the two teams.

The Houston Texans season has been defined by injuries, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be getting better anytime soon. Tom Savage is the starting quarterback after the Watson injury, and he hasn’t been able to have much success this year. He seems to always turn the ball over at the wrong time, and in the last game against Baltimore he fumbled on their last drive and it ultimately cost them a chance to win the game.

To win this game it’s going to start on the offensive side of the ball. Tom Savage needs to have a good game, and he can’t keep turning the ball over. The defense also is going to need to try and create a few turnovers early in this game, and use that to get the offense a short field.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (7-4)

Point Spread: (-7)

On the other side of this match up is the Tennessee Titans who still haven’t really played that great this season but come into this game with a 7-4 record, and sit in 1st place in the AFC South. They come into this game having won five of the last six games, but four of those victories were by four points or less.

They have played a lot of close games, and for the most part have come out on the right side, but they are playing with fire playing such close games. In this one they need to be the team to get out to the fast start and not let the Texans hang around, or they could be upset in this one.

The defense also needs to try and get Tom Savage to turn the ball over. He has turned it over this year, and the Titans need to be aggressive on that side of the ball early. On the offensive side they need to try and have success and if they are able to have success, they need to try and run up the score.

They need to do everything in their power to make sure this isn’t a close game. One of these close games is going to hurt them and they will end up losing, and lose their playoff seeding.

Writer’s Prediction

The Titans are the better team no question, but they have played in some close games, and I think that will continue in this one. I think the Texans offense will do enough to keep it close. The Titans will win the game, but the Texans will cover the spread. Pick: Houston (+7)
