The Week starts with two teams seeking to keep postseason hopes alive, as the Washington Redskins visit ‘Merica’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have been in a tailspin ever since losing Ezekiel Elliot to a 6-game suspension (3 served thus far) and Dak Prescott is simply not the same QB without him. What will (or won’t) he (Prescott) accomplish here in Week 13 in a must-win game? The Week also features Brady (Pats) vs the Bills, the Titans vs Texans, the playoff-hungry Bengals vs Steelers, the soaring Eagles vs the falling Seahawks, and a dog game of the week that puts the 49ers up against the Bears, which is only of interest because it could be Jimmy Garoppolo first start for the 49ers. Prescott kinda’ sucks right now BUT he will be looking to shut recent critics (this writer included) up with quick throws towards the end zone. However, Cousins completed 19 of 31 passes for two TDs (and an interception) in his Week 12 win over the Giants. You decide.
Will Kirk Cousins Throw 2 or More Touchdown Passes?
Captain Kirk will be looking for a repeat performance of his game against the Giants (as per the notes above). Against a shortsighted Dallas defense it is a very viable conclusion.
The Redskins’ rookie back recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game last week against the Giants while also tallying a season-high 30 receiving yards in the process. With both Chris Thompson and Rob Kelley lost for the season, Perine will continue to see excellent volume against Dallas and will likely find himself in the end zone.
Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan joined exclusive company with his first-quarter sack of Eli Manning, becoming the fifth player in league history to record at last 7.5 sacks in each of the first seven seasons of his career. He sacked Manning again on the first play of the second quarter to end a Giants drive. He’s hungry for more.
The Redskins’ wide receiverhas seen double-digit targets in three of the last four weeks, and is coming off the best game of his season, collecting a career-high 141 yards and a TD against the Giants on Thanksgiving. He will continue to see more volume in Week 13 against Dallas.
