Betting on the Florida State Seminoles – March Madness 2018
March is petri dish for crazy stuff. That said, the Seminoles’ come-from-behind 75-70 win over top-seed Xavier in the second round remains incredibly astonishing. Down by 12 at one point in the second half, the ‘Noles rallied and upset the Musketeers, thanks to the team’s timely hits in the clutch and ferocious defense. Florida State had 10 steals in the Xavier game to go with four blocks. Against Mizzou in the first round, Florida State had nine steals and six blocks. This is the type of scary defense that will have to show up for Florida State in order for them to contain Gonzaga’s prolific offense. Speaking of which, the Seminoles averaged 81.1 points in the regular season on 47.2 percent shooting from the field. The bench has played a huge role for Florida State which is getting an average of 44.0 points from its second stringers in this tournament.
Betting on the Gonzaga Bulldogs – March Madness 2018
After getting nearly upset nu UNC Greensboro in a too-close-for-comfort 68-64 win in the first round, the Bulldogs took down a stronger opponent in the form of Ohio State in second round, 90-84. Still, the Bulldogs have been shaky in those two games,. For them to stabilize their team, they will need to get Johnathan Williams and Killian Tillie to get going – in the same game. Williams led the team in the regular season with 13.6 points per game, while Tillie was behind him with 12.9. Against UNC Greensboro, Williams had 19 points and Tillie only had two. Versus the Buckeyes, it was Williams’ turn to underwhelm, scoring only nine points while Tillie continued to struggle, putting up only seven points. Zach Norvell Jr and Josh Perkins have been steady, but Gonzaga needs all hands on deck against Florida State.
