Who’s going to stop the Los Angeles Rams? This coming weekend, it’s the Denver Broncos’ turn to step up to the plate, as they will try to be the first team to sully the Rams’ immaculate record this season. Will Case Keenum outplay Jared Goff and guide the Broncos to an upset win at home? Or will Todd Gurley smash through Denver’s defense and leave the hosts like a pile of smoking rubble?
The Rams are +275 to win Super Bowl 53, while the Broncos are +2,200 to win the AFC West.

Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (5-0)
The Rams’ slate remains unblemished, as they extended their unbeaten streak to five games after taking down the Seattle Seahawks last week, 33-31. Rams quarterback Jared Goff had 321 passing yards and a touchdown but had two interceptions. It could get tougher for him in Week 6, as he may be without his top two receivers in Cooper Kupp and Branding Cooks. Both wideouts are in concussion protocol and have yet to clear it as of this writing. If the two will be ultimately declared out for the Denver game, wide receiver Robert Woods and running back Todd Gurley will have be given heavier workloads. Woods had 92 receiving yards on five catches against the Seahawks, while the always productive Gurley had 77 rushing yards and three rushing scores while adding 36 receiving yards on four catches. Gurley can have another strong outing versus the Broncos, as Denver is only 30th in the league against the run with 139.6 rushing yards allowed per contest.
The Rams are 9-1 SU and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Denver Broncos (2-3)
The Broncos suffered their third loss in a row last Sunday, as they fell prey to the New York Jets on the road, 34-16. The Broncos’ defense has allowed at least 27 points in each of their last three games and with the high-powered offense of the Rams coming to town this weekend, Denver should be scrambling for solution to their leaky stop unit. If anything, it’ll be a huge bonus for them if Kupp and Cooks will be unable to play, but that still leaves them with Gurley, whom they should be very wary about. Against the Jets, the Broncos allowed New York running back Isaiah Crowell ran circles for 219 rushing yards on only 15 carries. If a second-tier tailback can do that to them, imagine what kind of havoc someone like Gurley can unleash in Denver on Sunday. On flipside, Denver can take advantage of the Rams’ banged up secondary that’s missing Aqib Talib (ankle). That’s good news for wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who had 105 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Jets.
The Broncos are 6-4 SU and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog.
Writer’s Prediction
Los Angeles wins, 30-21.
