The Houston Texans are rolling. They are currently on a three-game win streak and have managed to force a three-way tie for the best record in the AFC South with a 3-3 slate following their victory over the Buffalo Bills last week. The Texans, who are +210 to win their division, will look to extend their unbeaten streak when they pay the Jacksonville Jaguars a visit. The 3-3 Jaguars are +3,000 to win Super Bowl 53.

Betting on the Houston Texans (3-3)
The Texans continued their win streak, thanks to their defense and the pathetic play of Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman. In Week 6, Houston took down the Bills to the tune of a 20-13 score. The Texans limited Buffalo to just 229 total yards. They allowed just 129 passing yards to the Bills while also picking off Peterman twice, including one that was returned for a touchdown that turned out to be the game-winner for Houston. After facing a quarterback we’re quite unsure of why he’s still in the NFL, the Texans will deal with another turnover-prone signal-caller in Blake Bortles, who’s already thrown eight interceptions this season. That’s music to the ears of Houston, which has allowed just 14.5 points per game over the previous two weeks.
The Texans are 6-2 in their last eight road games in Jacksonville.
Betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3)
The Jaguars have built up a reputation of having an elite defense since last year, but they failed to show that high quality of their stop unit last week, when they fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 40-7. The Cowboys went 7-of-17 on third down chances and 2-of-2 on fourth down opportunities. Dak Prescott and company also went 4-of-5 in the red zone. That doesn’t bode well for the Jaguars heading into matchup with the streaking Houston side, but it’s not too late to figure out things and restore the formidable form of their defense. On the season, the Jaguars are ninth in the league in scoring defense with 21.0 points allowed per game –skewed by that Dallas loss – and second overall with just 306.5 total yards surrendered per contest.
Jacksonville is 8-1 SU in its last nine home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Jacksonville wins, 24-22.
