Who will be the first team to defeat the Los Angeles Rams, who are the last unbeaten team this season? The San Francisco 49ers would definitely like to be that squad, but it’s going to be easier said than done. The Rams are +300 to win Super Bowl 53, while the 49ers are +25,000 to rule the NFC West.

Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (6-0)
The Rams remained unbeaten through six weeks of this NFL season, as they eked out a too-close-for-comfort 23-20 victory over the Denver Broncos on the road last Sunday. Nevertheless, the Rams will build on that win streak as they prepare for matchup against the 49ers. Rams quarterback Jared Goff struggled in the Broncos game, as he passed for only 201 passing yards with zero touchdowns and an interception. But the Rams were able to stomach and overcome that dismal performance from Goff because of Todd Gurley, who ran circles around the Broncos’ defense. Gurley racked up 208 rushing yards and pair of ground scores while also adding 17 receiving yards on two receptions. The Niners are 13th in the league against the ran, but their defense will be put to an extreme acid test by the Rams’ stud tailback. On the season, Gurley has 623 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Goff can also recover his form by facing San Francisco’s light pass defense that’s allowing the close to 280 passing yards per game.
The Rams are 5-0 SU in their last five road games, though, they are only 2-3 ATS in those outings.
Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (1-5)
The 49ers just got Aaron R0dger-ed. With some questionable late-game play-calling and a gut-punch of a penalty call near the end of the contest, the 49ers let a win get away in a 33-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers on the road last Monday. Quarterback C.J. Beathard had 245 passing yards and two touchdowns against an interception on 16-of-23 pass completions. He was playing sweet music together with Niners wide receiver Marquise Goodwin early in the game, but could not keep it up the entire game. Although the Rams have a vaunted defense, now seems to be a good time to challenge it face to face. Los Angeles’ secondary is missing cornerback Aqib Talib, which is partly the reason why the Rams have allowed 27.3 points in their last three games – 11th most in the NFL in that span. San Francisco can also have some success taking down Goff in the pocket after the quarterback was sacked five times by the Broncos. The Niners sacked Rodgers thrice last Monday.
The 49ers are 5-0 ATS in their last five meetings with the Rams.
Writer’s Prediction
Los Angeles wins, 30-27.
