New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – Week 12 – November 25, 2018

The 3-7 New York Giants (+5,000 to win NFC East) have gained some much-needed momentum thanks to a pair of wins over the last two weeks. They are eyeing to add to that streak this weekend when they pay the Philadelphia Eagles (+425 to win division) a visit. The Eagles won the first meeting 34-13 in Week 6, so the Giants are also out for revenge on Sunday, where the sportsbook favors last year’s Super Bowl champs by a single touchdown.

Betting on the New York Giants (3-7)

The Giants suddenly have a win streak going. After beating the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10, Eli Manning and company outlasted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 38-35 victory at home last Sunday. The Giants seemed to use the same formula in both games to win them, which was to feed the ball as much as possible to the beast. And that beast is running back Saquon Barkley. The rookie out of Penn State rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries against the Bucs. He also caught two passes for 10 yards and a reception. In the Niners game, Barkley got 20 carries and though he only finished with 67 rushing yards, he did enough to open up spaces for other Giants playmakers. With success they’re having with that strategy, expect the Giants to keep pounding the ball on Barkley, who’ll face Philly’s reeling defense that has allowed an average of 138.0 rushing yards over the Eagles’ last three games.

The Giants are 4-0 AT in their last four road games.

Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (4-6)

The Eagles are on the ropes. They have now lost consecutive games for the second time this season after losing to the New Orleans Saints on the road and in horrific fashion, as clearly underlined by the 48-7 score. The Eagles barely did anything right on either side of the ball against the Saints. Carson Wentz finished with just 156 passing yards with zero touchdowns and three interceptions on 19-of-33 completions. The team’s backfield was anemic. Running back Josh Adams had a touchdown run and 53 rushing yards on seven carries, but the team as a whole coughed up just 58 rushing yards. Speaking of Adams, he may be on his way to becoming the Eagles’ No. 1 running back if he hasn’t already copped that role. The Giants are winning of late, but they’re still far from clearing their problems, so the Eagles should see some holes on New York’s defense that is only 24th in the league with 26.3 points allowed per contest.

The Eagles are 3-1 ATS in their last four home games against the Giants.

Writer’s Prediction

Philadelphia wins, 28-23.
