The Dallas Cowboys (+1500 to win Super Bowl 54) made sure to silence their haters in Week 1 after stomping the New York Giants, while the Washington Redskins (+2200 to win the NFC East) failed to pull off an upset last Sunday. Will the upset come at home this Sunday for the Redskins, though? Going into the game, the sportsbook favors the Cowboys by 5-points, after opening at 4.5-points, with bettors showing confidence in the visitor.

Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (1-0)
Kellen Moore’s debut as the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator was a success, as Dallas defeated the New York Giants at home last week, 35-17. While most eyes were on Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, quarterback Dak Prescott silenced his critics and played like he truly wants a lucrative extension deal by throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns without an interception on 25 of 32 completions. Elliott had 53 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, while Michael Gallup opened the season like a house on fire, exploding for 158 receiving yards on seven catches. The Cowboys’ offense looks particularly dangerous on the air, and they have every reason to expect success on that side of the ball against Washington’s faulty defense that allowed 313 passing yards and 123 rushing yards to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday.
The Cowboys are 5-1 straight up (SU) in their last six games in Washington.
Betting on the Washington Redskins (0-1)
After sitting out last week’s 32-27 road loss to the Eagles due to head coach Jay Gruden’s decision to label him as a healthy scratch, Adrian Peterson is expected to take the field for his 2019 debut this week. With Derrius Guice sustaining a meniscus injury that will keep him out at least for the Cowboys game, Peterson will be the No. 1 option in the backfield for the Redskins, which rushed for a measly total of 28 yards on 13 carries against the Eagles. Tight end Jordan Reed could also be making his first appearance in this regular season against the Cowboys after missing Week 1 due to concussion. The Redskins played surprisingly well versus the Eagles at least in the first half with Case Keenum throwing darts. Keenum finished with 380 passing yards and three touchdowns on 30 of 44 completions and may have keyed in the introduction of a star in the making downfield for Washington with Terry McLaurin churning out 125 receiving yards and a touchdown on five reception in the Eagles game.
The over is 3-1 in the Redskins’ last four home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 29-24
